Parents of small cars, what type/ brand car seat do/did you use with two kids?

Question: I have a scanty Honda civic, four door. I have a 2.5 year old in a on to the table facing car seat (I'm going to keep her in a 5 point harness system for as long as practical so a booster is NOT an option) and another baby on the way.

My wee lass is not so illiberal anymore. She is taller than most of her paltry cohorts and has recently become interested in more full-grown things – mostly sitting at the catalogue to eat with the big people. I have to say I was gratified the first term she climbed up onto the big-person govern and sat awaiting her do to excess. I was less ardent when she prostrate out the back and landed on the knock over with a disheartening wail.
