Floyd Valley Hospital's first baby of 2012 was born Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Katelyn Rosalla Hodgson was born at 4:33 p.m., weighing in at 9 pounds, 13 ounces, and is 21 inches great. She also has lots of dark hair.

Older daughter Isabell wore her "Big Sister" shirt as she helped. Isabell celebrates her third birthday today (Friday).

"I'm a big sister," Isabell said proudly as she gazed at her new sister.

Kevin smiles as Paula says it should be unhurried for him to remember their birthdays.

"I think we started a tradition with our girls," said Paula, whose birthday is Jan. 18. "We have lots of January girls."

Katelyn's grandparents, Gerald and Margie Hodgson of Le Mars, and Roger and MaryAnn Ewoldt, of Hospers, will also be checking off those January birthdays.

Dr. Sheila Holcomb was the attending physician. Paula's due beau was Jan.

I'm enceinte our first son, due modern development August. Hubby's mom has fair offered to buy a new stroller for me, which is giant- now I nothing but be in want of to cast out what I deprivation!
