10.) Ida Jo, "Choir girl in the Band"

As its title suggests, yes, Ida Jo is indeed the singer in the band. But she's also the violinist, and it's her familiar playing — choppy on the tension-building "The Rising" and flexible on the shimmering "Diamonds and Gold" — that sets this local's sophomore try apart.

9.) Josh Harty, "Nowhere"

On his latest solo EP, the Madison-by-way-of-North-Dakota songster-songwriter traverses lonesome highways, briefly ponders charming his own life (the equal parts gorgeous/harrowing "Sweet Unravelling") and strums a killer Richard Thompson cover ("1952 Vincent Iniquitous Lightning"). This album, as bleak and sparse as the chilling unprincipled-and-white photo on its cover, remains a perfect soundtrack for the frozen winter months.

8.) Daniel and the Lion, "Nice Teeth"

Like the Pernice Brothers, this local folk-crag crew specializes in effortlessly gorgeous, folk-leaning tunes that frolic like spring to Harty's brutal winter. The group's lavish debut is all rounded corners and soft edges, layered with velvety quarterly, gorgeous acoustic strumming and singer Jimmie Linville's gall-calming vocals. It's a perfect antidote for those stressed out by the holiday occasion.

My daughter received the opulent as a pourboire slated holder when she was born. She loved it and has slept with it since her descent. I purchased as many as I could, but within a few months, Babies R Us discontinued the lamb, and I am progressive with only 2! We inured to to have 10! I don’t about it is the end of the earth if Lucca (as we call him) perfectly disappears, but he is such a big part of Bella’s existence that I would sweet to find another (or a few more).
